Theatre Experience + Highlights

Annie-Sage Whitehurst started her NYC acting career in Flux Theatre Ensemble's Menders (dir. Heather Cohn, The Gym at Judson), when she took the stage as an understudy instead of her regular role selling concessions. She fell in love with the indie theatre scene and participated in devised, experiemental and immersive performances at venues like WoW Cafe, The Tank, and Dixon Place, and soon became an official company member of one {Your Name Here} alongside David Anzuelo, Maybe Burke, Christian Coulson and other performers.

Performance highlights include playing the love interest in Untameable, an immersive diamond heist across the first level and courtyard of St. John's Church in Brooklyn,

a monologue in We Are Theatre, produced by The Guerilla Girls at Cherry Lane,

and originating the title role in JULIANA, an episodic histoy of queer life in pre-war NYC that ran for three years at The Duplex, NYC and was brought to The Kennedy Center.

Most recently, she played the ethereal host "Rachel Faucette" in the immersive multimedia experience, Passion Nation from director Bill Castellino (Desperate Measures, CAGNEY).

Annie-Sage has studied at classical and contemporary performance at The Barrow Group, T. Schreiber Studios, Stella Adler and Primary Stages, as well as improv classes at Upright Citizens Brigade and The People's Improv Theatre.
