On set: RELAPSED, a new short film from Peter Kovacs

Randy deOrio and Annie-Sage Whitehurst (Theresa)

Yesterday was my first day filming RELAPSED- a new short film from Peter Kovacs.  I play Theresa, a woman who appeals to mysterious forces for a chance to start again. The script has a mysterious, film noir style, and I was so excited about the Twin Peaks-y vibe of our location!  I can’t wait for the next day of filming with these talented folks.

Announcing LIMETOWN: Episode 1, now available on iTunes!

Ten years ago, over three hundred men, women and children disappeared from a small town in Tennessee, never to be heard from again. In this seven-part podcast, American Public Radio host Lia Haddock asks the question once more, “What happened to the people of Limetown?”

A little over a year ago, I submitted an audition for a new podcast series I saw  listed on Backstage.com….  I had never heard of “Limetown” or the production team but after reading the sides, I was hooked. The podcast sought to unravel the mystery of Limetown, a fictitious town in Tennessee solely populated by employees of a top secret and vaguely menacing corporation.  The script reminded me of an episode of “This American Life,” but had a sinister air of mystery to it, similar to the lore surrounding the lost colony in Roanoake.  I sent off my audition and shortly after, met up with producer Skip Bronkie and writer/director  Zack Ackers. Not only were these guys funny and incredibly sweet (they bought me lunch- a sure fire way to win over any broke actor), but they were incredibly committed and passionate about the project.  I left the small cafè excited about the podcast and eager to start production as Lia Haddock, reporter for American Public Radio and Limetown’s host.

In the studio- Annie-Sage Whitehurst (Lia Haddock ) and Roger Wayne (Terry Hilkens)

I am so pleased to be able to announce that Episode 1 of the seven part series is now available on iTunes!! It’s free to download, and has already been featured on iTunes’ “New and Noteworthy” section, and  PocketCast‘s Featured Podcasts of the Week!
